Join us at Union Church, Crouch End for creative photography adventures! Children will learn photography skills, experiment with exciting techniques, create unique projects and explore their creativity with our trained Photo Explorers® instructors.

Monday 26th October: 📸 Storyteller’s Studio
Ages 5 - 11
Children will work together to create their own imaginative stories, using photographs to capture characters, scenes and exciting moments. They’ll learn how to tell a story through a series of photographs before choosing their favourite images to print.
After creating their photographic stories in the morning, children will choose their favourite photograph to take home. They’ll then get creative with clay, designing and making their own unique frame to display their favourite photograph.
Tuesday 27th October: 🍂 Capture Autumn
Ages 5 – 11
Explore the colours, textures and magic of autumn through photography! We’ll head out to the local park on a photography adventure, looking for the beautiful reds, oranges, yellows and browns that make autumn so special. Children will take part in fun photography challenges, experiment with close-ups, patterns and textures, and capture their favourite autumn moments.
In the afternoon, children will use their favourite photographs to create a colourful autumn collage, combining their photographs with autumn-inspired art, textures and patterns to create a unique piece of artwork to take home. 📸🍂🎨
Wednesday 28th October: 👻 Spooky Snapshots
Ages 5 – 11
Come dressed in your spookiest costume and get ready for a day of creepy, creative photography! Children will use their cameras to capture mysterious photographs, experimenting with light, shadows, silhouettes and creative effects. They’ll take part in fun Halloween-inspired photography challenges, create spooky portraits and discover how to make their photographs look eerie, magical and mysterious.
In the afternoon, children will choose their favourite spooky photograph and transform it into a Haunted Portrait! Using a range of arts and crafts materials, they’ll decorate their photographs with ghosts, monsters, bats, cobwebs and other spooky creations to create a unique Halloween artwork to take home.
A frightfully fun day of photography, creativity and Halloween adventures! 🎃📸👻

The camp is designed for children aged 5–8 years (KS1) who love to explore, create, and have fun. No photography experience is needed – we start with the basics.

A packed lunch and water bottle
Comfortable clothes suitable for crafts and outdoor activities
Sun hat/raincoat depending on the weather
All cameras, materials, and equipment are provided.

No – we provide child-friendly cameras for every child to use during camp. If your child has their own camera, they’re welcome to bring it, but it’s not required.

Drop-off: 9:00am
Pick-up: 3:00pm
Please collect by 3:10pm.

We keep groups small (around 15–20 children) so everyone gets attention and support.

Photo Explorers is led by Harriet Rock, an experienced facilitator who works with children through creativity and mindfulness. Harriet and her assistant are DBS-checked, first aid trained, and safeguarding certified.

Yes – safety is our top priority.

Yes! Each child will bring home:
Their own creative crafts (collages, photo frames, masks, etc.)
Printed photos and a mini photo album
A certificate of achievement at the end of the week

Please get in touch before booking to discuss your child’s needs. We will always do our best to provide support and make the camp inclusive.

We recommend booking for the full week so children can get the most out of the programme. However, if your child needs to miss a day, they are still welcome for the rest of the week.
