Monday 27th July: Comic Book
Ages 5 - 11
Bring your imagination to life at our LEGO Comic Book Photography Camp! Children will build exciting LEGO scenes, learn photography skills and create their own comic book adventure using photographs, storytelling and creative design. A perfect camp for young photographers, builders and storytellers.
Tuesday 28th July: Magic Light Lab
Ages 5 – 11
Step into the Magic Light Lab and discover the creative possibilities of light! Children will experiment with professional studio lighting, create colourful light paintings, explore intentional camera movement (ICM) and capture stunning portraits in our pop-up photography studio. A fun-filled day of creativity, photography and hands-on experimentation for young photographers.
Monday 3rd August: Darkroom Magic
Ages 5 – 11
Step back in time and discover the magic of photography without a camera! Children will create beautiful cyanotype prints using sunlight, experiment with photograms using light and shadow, and explore one of the oldest photographic processes through hands-on creative activities. A unique photography camp where art, science and creativity come together.
Tuesday 4th August: Lights, Camera, Action!
Ages 5 – 11
Lights, Camera, Action! is a high-energy photography camp where children learn how to capture movement, speed and excitement through their cameras. Young photographers will experiment with action shots, motion blur, levitation photography and superhero-style portraits while taking part in fun photography challenges. Perfect for creative children who love movement, adventure and bringing their photographs to life.
Monday 17th August: Nature Flip Books
Ages 5 – 11
Discover the magic of nature at our Nature Flip Book Photography Camp! Children will explore nature through their cameras, photograph plants, flowers and natural treasures, then transform their photographs and drawings into their very own flip book. A creative day of photography, storytelling and hands-on making, perfect for curious young photographers and nature lovers.
Tuesday 18th August: Storytelling with toys
Ages 5 – 11
Bring your imagination to life at our Storytelling with Toys Photography Camp! Children will use toys, figures and props to create exciting scenes, invent characters and tell stories through photography. Along the way, they'll learn photography skills, explore creative camera angles and design their own storybook or comic strip inspired by their photographs. A perfect camp for young photographers, storytellers and imaginative minds.

The camp is designed for children aged 5–8 years (KS1) who love to explore, create, and have fun. No photography experience is needed – we start with the basics.

A packed lunch and water bottle
Comfortable clothes suitable for crafts and outdoor activities
Sun hat/raincoat depending on the weather
All cameras, materials, and equipment are provided.

No – we provide child-friendly cameras for every child to use during camp. If your child has their own camera, they’re welcome to bring it, but it’s not required.

Drop-off: 9:00am
Pick-up: 3:00pm
Please collect by 3:10pm.

We keep groups small (around 15–20 children) so everyone gets attention and support.

Photo Explorers is led by Harriet Rock, an experienced facilitator who works with children through creativity and mindfulness. Harriet and her assistant are DBS-checked, first aid trained, and safeguarding certified.

Yes – safety is our top priority.

Yes! Each child will bring home:
Their own creative crafts (collages, photo frames, masks, etc.)
Printed photos and a mini photo album

Please get in touch before booking to discuss your child’s needs. We will always do our best to provide support and make the camp inclusive.

We recommend booking for the full week so children can get the most out of the programme. However, if your child needs to miss a day, they are still welcome for the rest of the week.
